Letters of Support

McCarthy Letter

To Whom It May Concern,

Last night I attended my first concert sponsored by my neighbors Mr. and Mrs. Ching.  Another neighbor had invited  my girlfriend and I saying that this particular concert would be held at a Church in Nederland, as a neighbor near the Ching's home had complained to the county about these "home concerts". During the evening I was told that the county has a Docket Number which is ZON-06-075.

Being new to the Aspen Meadows neighborhood,  I was delighted to meet my neighbors, share a potluck dinner, enjoy lively conversation and listen to a wonderful evening of music played by skilled, entertaining and grateful musicians.

I found that this atmosphere, these people and this sort of gathering is truly what "community" is about.  I do not know the nature of the complaint, but I know that these gatherings are perhaps the best way to help hold a community together. This is a mountain community, there are times when neighbors need each other, this is a great way for us all to get together, see who we are, learn about each other and enjoy an evening of music.

The Chings help support musicians, the monies raised at these events goes to the musicians.

From what I understand, the majority of close neighbors, myself included, want these events to continue.

I have not noticed any noise from these concerts.

I have not noticed or been inconvenienced in any way by these concerts.

In short, I want these concerts to continue, I want to be able to share an evening with my neighbors, in my neighborhood, and I want to be a member of this community.

Sincerely,

Paul J. McCarthy
